To send material, please start with a query letter for both fiction and non-fiction.

Always include an SASE and the first 3-5 pages of your work so we can actually see your writing.

Please send things in the standard industry format.  You can find out more about that in any writing reference book at your local library or bookstore.

Please do NOT send full manuscripts or anything weighing more than 16 ounces unless we ask for it.  We will not  return it even with an SASE

What we are looking for:  narrative fiction and non-fiction. Good stories.

Fiction categories we consider: fiction, literary fiction, crime fiction, thrillers, womens fiction, chick lit.

Fiction categories we don't consider: science fiction, fantasy, speculative fiction, horror, westerns, romance.

Non-fiction categories:  memoir, biography, history, science, business, pop culture, music.

Non-fiction categories we don't consider: politics, religion

Forms we consider: photo essays, graphic novels

Forms we don't consider: screenplays, poetry

Things we are particularly interested in: the Pacific Northwest, death penalty issues, justice issues, contemporary music.
